The Ucross Foundation, http://ucrossfoundation.org/, an art center and artist’s retreat on a ranch near Clearmont, Wyoming, will have an exhibit in their gallery June – December, “The Universal Language of Birds by Christina Baal.” The public is invited to create works on paper to be displayed with her work. The work can be prose, musical score, photography, drawing, painting, etc., as long as they are on paper no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches.
On June 10, 2017, the day will be dedicated to birds and nature, beginning with a workshop at 9 a.m. that will include an informative birding presentation in the barn loft, free bird guides, notebooks and pencils to journal, guided walks with Dr. Jackie Canterbury and Christina Baal on the campus that includes birding and nature journaling followed by lunch.
That afternoon is the reception for the exhibit. The workshop, lunch and reception are free and open to the public.
The Ucross Foundation campus became a state Important Bird Area in 2015.
