Turtle Rock Bird Watching Hike ~ June 17th

Turtle RockReminder!  June 17th 8:00 a.m.  Leave from Lions Park parking lot by the Children’s Village at 8:00 a.m.  Carpooling may be available.  Return time estimated to be 1:00 p.m.

We will be looking for hummingbirds and assorted forest birds including woodpeckers. And we can look for what’s blooming.

Bring binoculars if you have them, and water, clothes for changing weather, and a snack or lunch if you like. It will take a couple hours to hike the whole trail.

It’s about a 35 miles/40 minutes drive to Vedauwoo. If you don’t have an annual Federal pass, the entrance fee is $5/day/vehicle. Please register for this trip by contacting Mark Gorges, 307-287-4953, mgorges@juno.com, and giving him your name and phone number, in case there is a change in plans.
